Greggs set to open new store on Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland
A new shop is planned for 19 Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, previously home to The Gaming Hideaway.
Commercial agency Connect Property North East confirmed it had “agreed terms in principle” for the baking giants to move into the town centre.
The move is likely to see Greggs relocate from its current spot in the Newgate Shopping Centre.
A planning application uploaded to the Durham County Council portal was submitted by JMS Planning & Development Ltd on behalf of Greggs and details plans for a new shopfront, along with two illuminated signs.
