Frank’s the flooring store expands to new outlet
The retailer is opening a 14,000 sq.ft store in Sunderland, which will complement its existing portfolio of branches within Tyne & Wear, and existing Sunderland North store. The launch of the new site in Ryhope, Sunderland will take the number of Frank’s locations in the region to 26, with the company expected to launch further stores in the future.
Mick Copeland, business development manager at Frank’s the Flooring Store, said: “This latest investment will extend our geographical reach in the North East and further strengthens the Frank’s brand on Tyne & Wear, with the addition of one of our larger stores. There is plenty of potential at the site, and we are looking forward to establishing a presence in Ryhope and offering customers a wide range of flooring solutions. “The launch of the Ryhope store presents new employment opportunities at Frank’s, with scope for more jobs in the future on Wearside, as well as across our extensive branch network. As the company continues to grow, this will open up more expansions and store openings, solidifying our position as one of the leading retailers in the region.”
Connect Property North East acted for the Landlord in letting the unit to Frank’s. Andrew Wilkinson commented, “ Our client Lidl completed their new flagship store opening adjacent and so their old store became ancillary to need. We acted for Lidl to secure a quality neighbour for them”.
